Benjamin Thomas

Benjamin has been a Primary School classroom teacher for over 20 years. He has spent time teaching in the UK, Japan and Hong Kong.

 

He recognises that every child matters and believes that all students are passionate individuals who have the capacity to explore the world with a natural curiosity; this can be harnessed in order to take action on truly important issues.

 

With a passion for teaching literacy, mathematics and inquiry, Benjamin believes that the purpose of learning is to navigate the complicated world in which we live; solving real life problems with a variety of solutions.

 

He earned his Bachelor of Education (with honours) from the University of Gloucestershire, specialising in Literacy and Physical Education. He has taught in the UK and Japan as a homeroom and English language teacher.

 

Benjamin enjoys running and can often be found tackling some of the trickier trails of Sai Kung Country Park. The ocean plays an important role in Benjamin’s life. He likes to swim, paddle board and dragon boat and endeavours to keep the coastline plastic-free.
